  • Olive oil1× teaspoon (5 g)
  • Garlic0.5× clove (2.5 g)
  • Salt3× pinch (1.5 g)

How to make Halloween stuffed peppers

  1. 1. Finely chop the onion, garlic, and parsley.

  2. 2. Cook the barley in salted water according to the package instructions.

  3. 3. Prepare the filling. In a pan with olive oil, sauté the onion, garlic, and parsley. Add the ground chicken, seasoning it with spices. Once the meat is browned, add diced tomato and tomato paste, and cook for about 15 minutes. When most of the water from the tomatoes has evaporated, add the barley, mix, and cook for another 5 minutes.

  4. 4. Wash and dry the bell pepper, then cut off the top (keeping the stem attached) to create a lid. Remove the seeds and any white parts inside, being careful not to damage the pepper.

  5. 5. Cut a spooky face into the pepper—eyes, nose, and a “smile.”

  6. 6. Fill the pepper with the stuffing and cover it with the top part.

  7. 7. Place the pepper in a baking dish.

  8. 8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes.
