How to make Vegetarian kebab in pita bread with vegetables

  1. 1. Wash the vegetables and then dice them. Tear the lettuce into smaller pieces. Mix the vegetables in a bowl.

  2. 2. Prepare the garlic sauce. Press the garlic through a garlic press or finely chop it, add it along with black pepper and dill to the yogurt. Mix well.

  3. 3. Dice the tofu.

  4. 4. Heat olive oil in a pan and add the tofu along with the spices: cumin, gyros, sweet paprika, and chili.

  5. 5. Fry for about 5-6 minutes.

  6. 6. Gently slit the pita bread to create a pocket. Optionally, you can sprinkle the pita with water and warm it in the microwave or oven before slitting.

  7. 7. Spread some of the sauce inside the pita, then add half of the vegetables, tofu, and more vegetables.

  8. 8. Drizzle the rest of the sauce over the pita.
