  • Cream, dairy, UHT, canned spray, half fat240 g
  • Semi-skimmed milk1× cup (220 ml)
  • Cheese Cheddar8× slice (160 g)
  • Butter7× tablespoon (84 g)
  • Wheat flour, white, plain4× tablespoon (60 g)
  • White bread, sliced1.5× slice of bread (52.5 g)
  • Salt1× teaspoon (3 g)
  • Mustard, smooth0.25× teaspoon (2.5 g)
  • Pepper, black1× pinch (1 g)

How to make Macaroni and Cheese

  1. 1. Boil the pasta in salted water according to the instructions on the packet. Grate the cheese.

  2. 2. Heat the oven to 180 C. Line a casserole dish with butter.

  3. 3. Melt half the amount of butter from the recipe in a saucepan on a medium heat. Mix the flour and butter together until smooth. Then add the mustard, salt and pepper, and mix again.

  4. 4. Add the milk and cream gradually, stirring constantly, until it thickens. Add the cheese and continue to stir while boiling, until it melts.

  5. 5. Combine the pasta with the sauce and place it into the previously prepared casserole dish.

  6. 6. Melt the remaining butter, then transfer it to a small bowl, add the crumbled bread and mix together.

  7. 7. Sprinkle the bread and butter mix over the dish, and bake for around 25 minutes until the top browns.
