How to make Meatballs in tomato sauce

  1. 1. Finely chop half of the garlic, onion and parsley, and add to the mince in a bowl. Add the egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and milk, and mix everything thoroughly.

  2. 2. Put the mince in the fridge for around 15 minutes, then after removing it form small, round balls and coat them in breadcrumbs, then place them back in the fridge for around 10 minutes.

  3. 3. Heat some olive oil in a pan and fry the cooled meatballs, turning them so they cook all over.

  4. 4. After frying the meatballs, prepare the sauce in the same pan.

  5. 5. Fry the remaining onion and garlic in the pan, then add the blended tomatoes, salt, pepper and a laurel leaf, then boil it all together for about 10 minutes until the sauce is reduced.

  6. 6. Add the fried meatballs to the reduced sauce, cover the pan and stew for around 10 minutes.
